There were better albums, but fair dues. Two Mercuries...not bad in a career.
Still think Rid of Me was her best work to date.
Well deserved award in what was, IMO, a relatively weak year.
Actually PJs and Anna Calvis Albums are my 2 favourite albums of the year
Yeah, the album didn't do it for me, but a good winner. At least it wasn't bloody Elbow.
PJ Harvey has done some great stuff. The version of the 'Dry' tracks she did for John Peel were better than on the album.
Might just buy this in tribute

I cannot STAND pj harvey. Never has done anything for me and i gave this one the benefit of the doubt but still didnt like it.
But fair play to her for winning.
