ok, so i had a pair of threaded forks and was trying to screw on the upper bearing race, but the race got about half way down the thread before grinding to a halt because of how scrappy the thread was cut.

now, theyre sending me new forks, but this still means im stuck with a headset without its top race. so, is it unreasonable to ask them to compensate me the cost of a new headset as well? or would that make me a cheeky bugger?

thoughts welcomed.

I'd ask.

asking won't hurt but limited liability is the norm...
