I doubt it, Kona is a place in Hawaii and thereโ€™s s couple of brands based on it.

They might run into bother if they make a bike tied to the car branded Kona, but Iโ€™m sure they wonโ€™t.

In answer to the OP, doubt it. Is anyone likely to confuse a Canadian bike brand with a Korean car model?

Likely to be registered for bikes if so - you can't just take a word that already exists and decide that you now own it in all circumstance (although a few, including Specialized, have tried)

IP professional here (15+ years in Patent, Design and Trademarks). Just some info.. Trademarks are split up in to different classifications. So depending on what classifications Kona wanted cover in the original application is what they have cover for (class 12 - vehicles most probably). So Kona coffee Co. would say be covered for food services (class 43). So you can use the same name as long as you stick to your classification.
