I don't know if this has been posted before (sorry if it has) but this is the story of Canadian racer Marie-Soleil Blais and her journey from Las Vegas to Mount Lemmon near Tuscon. Five weeks and self-supported.
I found it totally inspirational. Marie-Soleil must be one tough lady but absolutely charming and modest.
The route takes in some fantastic scenery and places. A lot of tough riding. The video is just over an hour but if you have the time it's well worth watching all the way through.

I'll add that to my watch list - if I spent more time riding and less time watching I might one day do some thing vaguely interesting myself
