Any graphic designers kicking about?

As the title says, what final output resolution would you work to for a 6 sheet and 48 sheet poster? Never had to do these as of yet and i've only been supplied with page dimensions, not resolution. Should i just work to 72 dpi at these sizes? maybe 200dpi for the 6 sheet?

And also, indesign and illy don't go to 6096mm, is the best bet just work to to 50% size at double the output res?

Cheers for any input.

I've never done anything that big, but did some big display materials recently in indd at 1/4 size, with images at 200dpi and outputted as high quality print PDF. The printer did the rest.

Was expecting it to be a bit more complicated but it wasn't. Give whoever's printing it a buzz and they'll tell you exactly how they want it.

Aye, interweb points to that to, seems it's very much dependent on the printer. I'll get in contact with them. ta.
