I just saw this on the Iplayer and I am rather pleased to see the deserved Mo Farah selected as the top moment of the Olympics. This I guess has been put together by people who know sport, rather than the *pfft* British Public!

Can't wait to see Mo in some low pressure races this coming year going for fast times.

I'm sure I read some rumours that Farah will be running longer distances in the coming year or two, 10km, Half marathons and then full marathons. Personally I would love to see him go longer.

Don't get the greg James thing. Can't help it was a bbc3-ism to dumb it down innit or possibly they just wanted a presenter du jour to act all misinformed. Thing is he's right into his cricket so probably gets sport more than many though I didnt listen to him during the Olympics because of the five live monopoly.

POSTED 5 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

You don't really know anything about him eh? After coming here as a refugee he grew up in the UK, trained most of his life in the UK, british nationality, british family, moved to the US to join the best coach he could possibly find for his career and it has worked. His attitude toward training and life is an inspiration to others who are perhaps too lazy or not dedicated enough to make the huge decisions he has made.

I assume you've heard him talk, his accent, the way he loves running for Britain, the way UK culture is everything he is... I assume you know all of this aye?

Or is it because he doesn't look British? *a tongue-in-cheek response by the way but true none the less.

For me it was the shift in perceptions and conveyed in the media which was the highlight for me.

Actual hard work, dedication and endeavour was shown to be worth investing in. Not just from the athletes but from the volunteers and touch carriers. Now that was humbling IMHO

All the prima donnas and self interest of the Premier league showed the weakness and pathetic state that our national game has become and the shallowness and me me me attitude from the majority of the players. The celebutard culture from x factor to big brother.

The contrast was stark and hopefully motivational to everyone who was touched it.

I like Mo, like Seve, he has a smile that makes me want to smile.

We could all do with smiling more.

Mo Farah living in the US strikes me as a bit odd, seeing as he lives in Teddington. He bought a bike from the Halfords i used to work in for his daughter in September. He is the thinnest person i have ever seen, nice bloke though.
