Bought a 3d film by mistake, as I have a 3d player and 3d tv, thought I may as well give it ago. What is the difference between a set of £5 glasses and the much more expensive ones.
Any experts?

No expert but,
I expect the £5 glasses will be passive filters; ie, two differently polarised lenses. This is the sort of thing you get in cinemas.
The expensive ones will be powered LCD shutters, where the lenses alternately go black (ie, opaque) in time with the images on screen.
Which you require will depend which TV you have. They won't be interchangeable.

(does the 3D movie not come with a 2D version too? Many do)
