Bought a new kettle today and good lord has kettle technology progressed in the last couple of years. I can pick what temperature it goes to, it beeps when it's ready and tells me what temperature it's at as it heats up. I know there's famine, war and pestilence everywhere, but I'm pretty sure that my kettle is a much better use of the finest scientific minds.
