If i were to buy anew head unit (with aux in) what wiring harness would i need? Is it ISO?
Also is there a way of adding "aux in" to the head unit that is in there?
You've probably looked on the Berlingo forum already, but if not this might help.
I'd like to do the same, although on a 2000 Berlingo without reducing my perfectly functional car to its scrap value by getting it wrong.
2009 could be a new or old shape berlingo, which is it?
New shape you can add aux in*, but you need a dealer to enable it. They should do it for a tenner or maybe free if other stuff is being done.
*I've done it.
IA new shape - where do i get the Aux in lead??
While we're here - the tape player on my 2003 Berlingo has gone, and that's how I played music through the phone. It's massively doing my head in not having this capability any more.
Are the stereo's a standard size/fitting or do I need to get another Berlingo stereo? They look a slightly funny curved shape but I might be imagining it. I'd love one with an aux in but don't want to spend much.
That should do it though it's not the sort I used. I used one wired into a pass through block. That one will fit into the existing connector block.
You also need to get a dealer to enable it as I say, then it just appears as another input, so when you cycle CD->radio it goes CD->radio->aux in.
From a quick google, see the pinout here:

What you linked will go in part B and provide the electrical connection. Pull your radio out and have a look, it's easy - just make 2 U shape wire prongs from a coathanger to remove it (or use small screwdrivers).
I then routed the cable through a hole I drilled in the top of the cubby hole* below the stereo, so I can plug in and leave the phone/whatever in there, or in a phone mount on the dash.
*pro tip - make a ridge along the front with Sugru, then things no longer fall out the cubby hole.
Oh, and removing the cubby hole is a bit fiddly as there's a knack, do it when the radio's out as it'll be easier, dill your hole and refit. I then put a doubled-over o-ring round the cable after threading it through so it can't pull back through and get lost.
