I'm just wondering why on Earth someone has meticulously scanned in pages from a 1985 Argos catalogue. 😯

Was it you?

Dunno but we had item 20, the funny looking door chime, in my parents house!!

Never had a Sodastream, though, much to my disappointment...

Heh! That's different, it's 'constructive'. 😀

No I don't mind; it's fun to see stuff like this.

I quite fancy that lady in the headphones. 😳

Is it Philconsequence's mum? If one of my mates had had a mum like that, I would've popped round their house a lot just to stare longingly at her. 🙁

Ahh sodastream, the Tassimo of the 80s.

Those cassette players are too moderne and compact though. My first "walkman" in the 80s to four HP4 batteries, was the size and shape of a car stereo and had a shoulder strap.

I had a windmill for a garden that was a bloke chopping wood and the more wind the faster he chopped wood. There may have been a well involved too. Did anyone have one of those?

Nah - try adding extra fizz to a can of coke - that's where the fun is at
8)

And I was in Argos a couple of weeks ago and there was a big display selling Sodastream still.

One of my first jobs was spray-painting that rectangular grey fascia panel on them Triton Showers. Literally thousands of the bloody things. For £42.50 a week.

ZOMG, the portable TV I had my Speccy hooked up to as well. Pye 2040, top left of the first TV page. Only threw it out last year.

All my mates had the Ferguson on the next page.

I guess that's what I meant! I think I'd tried an Oric and an Acorn Electron by then, both were crap! Wish I'd got a BBC 🙁 actually I'd probably still be a nerd if I had, instead of being supercool 😎

That's the new-upstart Sinclair Colour Spectrum that is.
You lot are thinking of ZX81s, or maybe even the ZX80.
