"Parts of Glasgow are being turned into war-torn ruins for the next two week as filming for.. a post-apocalyptic zombie movie.
1,200 people will be involved in shooting scenes in George Square and other city centre locations."

Which begs the question, do you think anyone will notice?

It's a shame that they are going to make it look like Philadelphia though.

A Glaswegian zombie film would be hilarious I reckon.

Don't zombies usually eat brains?

I love a good zombie movie, I'd even flicked through the authors Zombie Survival Guide in Waterstone's previously (before being scowled at by the better half).
Managed to locate an electronic version of the World War Z and the survival guide, so gunna give em a go..

WWZ is quite good actually.. A different take on the genre..
Not sure how it'll translate into a movie tho..
I think the city centres a bit of an architectural gem tbh.. Some beautiful buildings left over from when our main sources of income were tobacco and slaves.. the city centre tours always seem to forget the last one tho for some reason..

After recent events darn sarf, I don't think little Englanders are in a position to have a poke at Glasgow!.

Saying that, 1200 zombies will mean that Greggs on george square will have to batter out rather more sausage rolls that day.

Why don't they just wait till the next Old Firm game, then film the 60,000 zombies that spill out of Ibrox/Parkhead?

Or even better, the 60,000 zombies coming from Hampden after a Scotland game, wearing an SRU top, kilt, timberland boots and rolled down socks, singing Proclaimers songs and pretending to be the nicest cuddliest blokes on earth.

Enough to make ye boak.
