...(small deduction may apply).

That kind of blatant lie makes my piss boil.

Did you click on the 'learn more' bit before you posted....... ?
Deductions are taken by the operators of the system to cover costs - IIRC the likes of Just Giving etc do the same....

Yes I did look at the learn more bit. Either way Children in Need will never be getting 100% and there will be no may applies about it.

One of the 'stars' involved in Children in Need might have waived any fee, but a contractual clause means that the car company that they own supplies the cars and drivers to Children in Need, and charges heavily for the service.

Attempts are being made to ease/squeeze this person out, but without success.

Oh, and Goan, I wouldn't have thought that 5% was too excessive- a raising of temeperature may be justified, but not full on boiling.

It is perfectly clear what happens, but yeah, why start off by saying 100% goes to charity?

I agree with goan here

Current bid £2800
Fees
First £999.99 = £105.50
Then 5% of balance 5%x£1800.01 = £90
Total fees = £195.50 or 7%
Charity gets 93% not 100% and I think that sucks

It's pretty normal in fundraising for charities that third parties take a fee, but I do think claiming 100% goes to said charity is a piss take. It seems an odd sales pitch, as it will put folk off.
