Fine after my jab.Went out on my e-bike for an hour or so.
Just back from an outdoor swim in Storm Claudia - weight lifting class tonight.
I managed a decent swim and yoga class yesterday, the day after the flu jab, as for once I had really no side effects, bar a slightly achy arm.
Today was a brisk 50 min walk with the dog, absolutely Baltic here in hilly south Lanarkshire with a cutting east wind and air temp of 3 degrees.
hoping to test out the dodgy knee on gravel bike on Sunday. Not sure what tomorrow will be yet..
Yoga / yogalates the past 2 days. Got out for a ride at lunch of local road laps. What day are we on?
I'm on day 892 😉
Park run this morning - conditions in West Yorkshire - filthy. Still 1st in my age category - this means basically no-one else in my age category turned up. Still a win is a win............
Badminton, Zwift, Run, MTB, Zwift, Trail Run...this is my life now, I'll be lost after Christmas 😳
Just scraped through today with a crispy frosty dog walk, after less than 3 hours sleep last night after a dodgy Chinese takeaway 🙄
Did an "expedition" with cubs yesterday - 5/6 mile walk across the Pentlands to the Bonaly camp for an overnight stay in a freeze box. Was on my feet almost the entire day, 23000 steps.
Tired today so a 40 minute yoga session before hosing myself down of camp fire of the aroma
PS must be day 62 for us mere mortals?
^Well done.I seemed to get tired after 16,567 steps yesterday.I blame the Omelette meal at the Corner cafe for weighing me down.
Monday - a 25 minute run plus small kettle bell session, mostly legs. Never ceases to amaze how you can run and cycle plenty, but do a seemingly "light" weights session and my legs are in bits.
Tuesday - swim. 1250m with some reps/burst to try and build speed.
Today - running tonight in the snowy Pentlands.
Not updated in a while but still going
Saturday b4 was skatepark with the kids, sunday skatepark again, Yoga Monday, , quite a bit of riding around and then skateboard again wednesday(fell over) , night ride on Wednesday was great, skateboard on Thursday, kettlebell workout on Friday, Yoga saturday, Muddy ride round the woods on SUnday plotting route for next weeks cub hike, cheeky lunch skateboard on monday and then yoga last night
20,000+ steps around the parks this afternoon.Feels a bit more tiring than doing it in summer.Mind,I think the temps were sub zero.Must try and break out of my,hiking, cycling, weights and stretching straight jacket and do some other activities.
PS just remembered my e-scooter is back from the repair shop tomorrow.I can wrestle that about like one of the local drug dealers.
freezing 5k run last night, I think the cold made me faster
I'm oot.
Had a day off last week, ended up working a 14 hour day, the Mrs did the school runs and at the end of it just wanted a beer and to slob on the sofa.
Garmin still says i need 55 hours to recover from the weekends BMX sessions and i'm back at the indoor tonight.
Bodyweight exercises and some resistence band work for my shoulders this morning, bike tonight in the freezing cold pain cave. I've also had Dog for three days this week, so have been out and walked a fair bit.
With the onset of snow here, I now have the advantage of adding "clearing the damned snow" to my daily list of exercise.
Interest/involvement/engagement seems to have dropped off a bit of a cliff this year? I don't know if that's a reflection on the forum software or folk just a bit bored with the concept of the "challenge".
I've still been mixing up outdoor and indoor activities, keeping my own personal streak going.
Still going.
I’m getting outside whenever I can, at least while the weather holds.
Doing this has got me to restart my Trig point and explorer tile hunt, and to dust off the good camera.
It makes for a fun change between the running, biking and other more intensive stuff.
It’s been good to have ‘rest’ days that keep the streak and motivation going.
Interest/involvement/engagement seems to have dropped off a bit of a cliff this year?
After a good start I failed completely due to rotten cold but opening of a new road with decent shared used path has provided me with an 8+ mile circuit with only a couple of miles of on road work, so I have been "commuting" to work from home each morning this week 🙂
Went out with some of the running club today for a 25km loop. We really werent sure what the conditions would be like but there was a disappointing lack of snow.
It's my birthday on Monday, so I also supplied cake.
This week's been challenging as I got the flu jab on Monday and that takes me down every year but luckily I've got a Zwift set up so kept going. So nearly back to full power again.
33 days to go.
Also still going here.
I never made it to the gym on Wednesday due to the snow, but have been getting good value out of Zwift this week.
I'm hoping to start swimming again so that should help mix things up a bit along with the running when the compacted snow/ice melts.
Also still going. 4 days in Krakow not ideal (but lovely!) - took my resistance bands and 3 of the 4 days did shoulder exercises and added in some core to make 30 mins (and one second ;). The day I didn't do them we walked 25km, so I'm taking that 😉 I was ruined the next day.
Back on the horse this weekend with two decent rides. Working away some of next week so it'll be bands/bodyweight until I get back. Good to see most still hanging in there....
Well done all for battling through colds and creaking bodies.I think there might be some busy doctors out there come New Year!
It's my birthday on Monday, so I also supplied cake.
Not just any cake, you’re spoiling them with Collin the Caterpillars! Nice
Cheers man (though there's not much to be happy about reaching 67! 🤣 )
Out for a 10km run with the club tonight. Fourteen in my group and another twelve spread over another couple of groups. Not bad turnout for a cold, dark, soggy November night!
After yesterday's weights and stretching I managed a couple of hours along the Tees on my e-bike.Had to dry the bike of yet again
though there's not much to be happy about reaching 67!
I tell you something - if I'm doing what you're doing at 67 I'll be happy. Happy belated birthday, CC.

absolutely, I’ll second that, impressive indeed Colin, keep on keeping on !
I think it’s day 71 today, heading out shortly to a gym session and yoga class, and have a Zwift meet-up this evening.
Sub-zero start this morning meant icy roads but the gravel tracks were lovely so we did a 45km loop.
Stopped for lunch at Loch Insh Boathouse
This photo could also appear on the incessant snow thread I guess?
Four days since (my) last post...
I reckon that's day 75 now? I certainly wasn't feeling in the mood for anything today but in order to keep this, and my own, challenge going I snuck out for a local 10km run. It was hovering around 0C all day and felt even chillier as the sun set behind Craigellachie.
Yep, day 75, still going, more indoor than out last week or so, with gym, yoga classes and Wattbike.
This has been a very hard week as I got a flu like bug that was click worse than Covid. Just been walking. Starting to feel a little better but won't join the cycling group tomorrow.
Got through the first of Christmas boozing yesterday with a 5km beforehand, felt ok today and went for a walk up a hill in the sun to blow away the cobwebs.
Still in it.
Today was as beautiful as yesterday was grim.21,788. steps around the parks plus some gym work.
It was a lovely day to be out, however I unfortunately had a troublesome tubeless fail, though did get back still pedalling…

I'm still on track, just started Caroline Girvan's 24 days of christmas. As the longest is 20 mins I think I'll be able to make it to Christmas as the dogs need walking every day still
