10km run with the club folks last night. It's the more 'committed' crowd now it's fully dark which means a lot of Zone 4 for me. It was also absolutely pissing it down. Still fun though.

Missed about 13 days over the last three weeks due to COVID and life but picking back up again now. Karate last night, actual mountain biking sunday, decent walk saturday, 5 hours of concrete mixing and pouring Friday, Thursday bit of a walk but a bit naff, weds gym and double karate mon Tuesday last week. Just typing this to make me cycle to the shop after tea, rather than being lazy and jumping in the car, gym tomorrow.

Decided it wasn't fair to inflict the snot demon on a busy gym class in a not terribly well ventilated room.

So jumped on the turbo, saw there was a "Zwift Unlock" about to start. Beasted myself for 55 minutes to attain a podium chasing 256th position. Being competitive and rubbish is not a good combination. Wobbled off, did some weights and something between stretching and yoga for half an hour and took the rest of the evening off 😉

Meant to be riding tonight but it appears we are in day 3 of 40 days and nights of rain here, so I think I'll get soaked in the pool instead.

Treated myself to a rare away-day down at Findhorn, hoping to avoid the rain.

I didn't.

Good fun on the trails though, even if the beach was out of bounds due to the high tide.

Like yer fat bike!

It's not been getting much use recently so I thought I'd better dust it off before it snows!

Think we're about half way-ish now and I'm still in. Primarily down to somewhat lax adjudication on my part that has counted some dog walks and stretching sessions. However, it has got me doing something every day. And on many of those days nothing would have happened without the challenge. So, so far so good.

Cheers! Its Cantellowes skatepark in Camden which is a 10 min cycle from my work, the only problem is that its full of very very good teenagers making me look like a crap old guy- though Im not the oldest there- the music in the background is being played by a guy in his late 50s who is always there doing flatland BMX stuff

Missed a couple of days through a bout of covid - but back to it - had a good week so far - Sat 5k park run, Sun bike 28 miles, Mon 2.5k swim, Tues 10k run, Wed 28 mile bike, today 2.5k swim.  My swimming is improving - aiming for 3k in the hour. Running is still dire though...

Pentlands Running last night, Yogalates today.

Strava tells me 197 activities this year which is good and I haven't logged all for the 100.

Golfie in the dark last night. Could have ridden in a t-shirt.

Decent Yogalates session this morning to loosen off but was properly sweaty.

on my Thursday night ride I got half way round cursing my choice of long sleeve jersey and trousers, when i remembered my enduras have zip off lower legs, so did the second half in shorts.

I nearly died of heat exhaustion at the indoor BMX track on Thursday night, it was ridiculous.  Normally in November it's baltic in there

Friday was (finally getting around to) a Dalwhinnie Distillery tour & tasting my daughter bought for me last Christmas. Rather than sort out logistics for travelling home afterwards, it was a walk into a remote loch for food and sleep before heading back out this morning.

A fine outing!

Still going here too. This past week has been a mix of Zwift races, dog walks and a barbell session at the gym on Wednesday.
Yesterday I had a go at the Moray Way, 8h 15mins, the last two of which were in the dark, a grand day out.

I think the plan is for a gentle 5k run today 😎

Also still going. The previous two weeks of travelling have needed to be a combination of the odd run or bike along with just getting out for a walk when the opportunity arrived. Nothing very exciting or intense, but all beyond what I’d normally have done.

Back to normal over the past few days, with a 10k trail run, weights and Zwift.

Diary reads Swim-Turbo-MTB ride-Yoga-Swim-MTB ride-Turbo with a couple of collarbone rehab/weights sessions chucked in between meetings in the day. The Yoga got me out of trouble after a very long day in London. Really did not want to do anything when I finally got home but thought, it's day fifty something, be stupid to miss a day now.

Just done a new to me Zwift route: Power to the Tower. Would not recommend 🙁

40 minute train to fail routine at the outdoor gym. Despite damp and cold weather my knee survived but my elbow pain/stiffness afterwards is a worry.I Might try the indoor pool this week for the first time in 25 years.Hoping it might help loosen things up a bit.

Still going.

Friday - night MTB at Golfie.

Saturday - yogalates and a family walk

Sunday - a wee local (birthday) MTB.

At this point, last week was a busy one for me so was knackered. Early night, 10+ hours sleep only ended by my alarm.

Today - a lunchtime stroll in the sun. Might do some stretching later if it fits in.

Good outdoor pool 2.5k this morning.  Trying to avoid the Wattbike for a bit as it seems to be aggravating my sore knee, for some weird reason. It is setup identically to my road and gravel bikes, suspect it’s just the static nature of riding it for an hour plus, so once back on it will limit session duration..

Missed last weeks Bootcamp at the Gym. Back last night, full on noodle arms today.

Not sure the MTB night ride is happening later. Absolutely filthy out there.

So it'll be "Fatman to the Shedmobile" 🙂

I had my flu jab a couple of weeks ago and didn't experience any side-effects other than a strange "after-taste" for a wee while afterwards. I've had that same sensation previous years too.

^^^ I usually get a reaction of mild /moderate cold symptoms for up to 48hrs, starting about 8-12hrs after the jab, here’s hoping not this time 🤞.

45 min walk just done, dog is happy.
