Troy Lee Designs Resist Trouser Review

I wear these, tbh I'm pretty disappointed with them. Ridden in them through winter in the Tweed Valley and found them to be cold and plasticky like carrier bags.

Yeah it's only on the bits of exposed skin between shorts/pads/socks, but grim enough to have me reaching for the decathlon water resistant ones instead (which are great but not in heavy rain 😉)

I love mine. But worn with a thin helly Hansen Lifa base layer.

I mostly like mine, they are fairly waterproof, had them a couple of months, not washed in the machine yet just hosed off.
Fit is ok but I find them a bit tight on my thighs.
RRP is ridiculous, even the £80 I paid for mine seems expensive!

I like mine, and are the only trousers I've actually made good use off. I'd always found trousers to be too heavy/warm, and/or too baggy, so had nearly always just worn shorts and knee pads regardless of the weather.

They're certainly not a cold weather type trouser on their own, but stick some 3/4 bibs/shorts under them, and they're fine. I think one of the reasons I like them so much, is that they're so light weight. It means I don't worry about getting too hot when it's not cold, so I wear them more.

I have however put a few holes in mine due to getting caught on things while out trailbuilding,  and I did notice the seat area stitching is starting to fail, but given they've now seen lots of use over two winters, I'm quite happy with how they're lasting. I'll probably buy a new pair for next winter for riding, and keep the old ones for trailbuilding rides.

I have been using mine a fair bit since Christmas and the have held up well. Just remember to zip close the air vents. But I will say the thigh area is a little tight.

I didn't to start off with. They felt horrible and rubbery and very much like a boil in the bag affair so I chucked them in the wardrobe and forgot about them for a year or so.

Stumbled across them again over Christmas and wore them for a 6 hour jaunt around the peak district.

~2'c all day with fairly heavy rain for the most part. I was warm and dry and kicking myself for not trying them out when I'd bought them. They were nowhere near as sweaty as the material suggested.

Appear cold and plasticky and was not impressed by the low-cut back.

On wet rides I've utilised my RAF-surplus "goretex?" waterproof trousers instead. I'll give the Resists a go though.

Mine are as yet unworn, mostly due to my lack of motivation when the weather is terrible.

Trying on indoors, they did feel plasticy against the skin, so best worn with long socks / knee pads under them

I just wear some cheap running tights under mine 👍

Like mine for the £80 I paid, they do start wetting out now though. Is spray on DWR favourite with these or wash in and tumble dry? Which would mean taking them to a mate's as we don't have a tumble dryer
