This is a follow-up to this discussion regarding Pinion equipped bikes: Belt drive pinion gearbox bike

There appears to be a new player: Zerode Carbon Pinion trial bike. It is a prototype but it seems that it should be available to the public later this year. I quite like this and if it was available and I was to change my ride, it would be first on my shopping list.

Here is more info: http://www.vitalmtb.com/photos/features/Zerodes-Full-Carbon-Gearbox-Trail-Bike,7113/Slideshow,0/sspomer,2

The gossip has it the funding for this project was secured (source):

1. Actually he has gotten funding to do the trail bike.
2. It will be Plastic
3. He hopes to have them out by the end of Summer.
4. I am hoping August.....

THAT IS ALL....

And some pictures of the prototype (these are from mid 2014):

Really like it when people take a fresh approach to the engineering aspects of bikes.
Looking forward to hearing more about it.

Love this bike so much but there's no way I'll ever be able to afford it

That last pic is from Dec 2013, have a look at the posted DATE

One of his mates has done an effigear frame too.
