Almost had dark peak to myself today.. it was fantastic! everywhere is bone dry at the mo.
Did a bigish loop from Hope, up Roman road, potato alley, lockerbrook switchbacks. Screaming mile to fairholmes, around the res, up to whinstone lee tor, down to cutthrought bridge road to Bamford. Back roads/Bways to Hathersage. Up towards gliding club, offerton hall, up to mast, along Shatton lane and down the singletrack from Bradwell edge. Then just through the cement works back to Hope. Came up at 26 miles, feels like it was a lot more!
And to top it all off I had a very nice Halumi, tomato and mint sandwich from the deli in Hope

I am very jealous - had a warm drive to Northampton followed by a 3 hour discussion about debt analysis and segmentation before a 2 hour drive back... would have rather been on the bike.
