Just wanted a bit of info really. I've changed frame bearings before, but I'd rather be cautious on an expensive frame so I'm going to try and get the right tools. The old favourite of a hammer/rounded socket set is not the right option (plus more tools = good).
I'm going to buy some Enduro MAX bearings (6903) from ebay at ~ £16 for the two. I don't need the dogbone linkage bearings.
This tool from Superstar looks like it would work. I don't suppose anyone knows if it will / won't?
Here's a video of it in action on a frame pivot very similar to the ASR5.
Any other tips most welcome!
Anyone?
Nope, but interested to hear opinions on the superstar tools...
I use the tool to change the top bearings on my Tracer 2 as and when required. 5 minute job to change all four bearings. Handy little tool!
Well, I've ordered the bearings and tool. Will let you know how it goes when they arrive.
All went swimmingly:
