Yet another PSA 🙄The warmest trail jersey EVER at a bonkers price !

These came out a couple winters back and seemed to have gone unnoticed in favour of other more trendy/ expensive offerings. Altura Esker Trail Jersey , I bought one at what I thought was a bargain price about £35 last winter against a retail of £55 which considering the main body is Polartec Powergrid Bike Radar said that was a bargain . For example the equivalent Rapha offering is over £100 !

Now idly scrolling watching the rain Cyclestore have them in a light grey for £20 posted ! If you prefer a nicer colour 99 Bikes have it in Navy for another tenner , I’m going to have to turn the internet off before I buy another one ! 🙄

Be warned though as I said they are seriously warm fine when it’s bloody freezing or you ride an E Bike 😘

Explanation for the more elderly among us would help, we can't all be good at everything 😞🙄 especially since lately I've been unable to post photos when I was able to before, same phone different outcome, so me and tech don't see eye to eye  🤔🙄

When you are looking at the offer, look at the part of your web browser where you type web addresses in. Copy what’s there (highlight it all, then press ctrl & C)

Then come here, type your post and at the end of it, paste the link (press ctrl & V).

The forum will do the rest.

They are really stretchy so quite a range in those 2 sizes 👍

Does anyone know if the size guide accurate on these? Recent Altura purchases have been inconsistent..

Well I bought a Large probably could have got away with a medium as I'm no Mr Universe 😞

Perhaps less of a good thing for a medium fit which is a shame as I prefer the navy to the grey.

Most the altura stuff is underrated if you ask me. They sell on Amazon and things often go for a silly low price. I like the esker trousers and I paid £22 when I got them on Amazon.

I'll just point out that there's an alternative or three, in more colours and subjectively nicer colours.

I've got the older Rapha jumper in the same fabric with windproof arms. Bought in the sale I hasten to add.

I wear it commuting when it's too cold for a tshirt but not cold enough for a jacket or colde enough for a mid layer under a soft shell. So 7 to 14 degrees for me. Late September to December and march to June. And 4 and below under a jacket.

It wicks impressively fast and is lovely and toasty on a cold winter morning.

Seems an excellent fabric for riding about

Another alternative - £30 for merino (blend), so soft and lovely to wear (if you're one of those brave souls signed up to SportPursuit - and delivery in time for Crimbo on these)

On 99 bikes - maybe because I'm inconsiderate enough to live north of Perth? 🙄

Got a blue one from Amazon £22:49. XXL.  Last one. The other sizes were more expensive. Worth a try at that price for really cold weather.

Thanks @oldfart for the recommendation

Just received my top today

It’s a high quality garment at a low value price of less than £20

Very comfortable and will have me looking forward to being warm on cold weather days on the bike
