I've posted a video of a similar line before (Wild Park, Brighton) in the winter on my previous bike. Here's the brighter, faster Jubilee edition with superior chesty angle and RATM instead of Captain Beefheart.
Yesterday was great fun, conquered a drop off I'd not ridden before (not in the vid) and connected some jumps into another line.
Before it's said I know I come up a little short, lose speed in places I shouldn't and generally ride like a normal person ๐
Just so nobody has a meltdown because they're taken away from STW..
Good that...on mute
Thanks billy, I guess RATM a la Minor Threat isn't everyone's cup of noisy tea!
I'm liking that - cos i have the same bike
Also cos i'm looking at getting a chest harness for my camera and i think you may just have sold me on the idea!
muddydwarf, I'm really chuffed with the Marin. You mentioned yours when I was quizzing the forum about them, it definitely likes to descend and I'm getting used to hefting it back uphill. I feel quite a bit more confident flying about on it, it just shrugs landings off ๐
Nice video - looks like a lot of fun.
Not sure on the song choice though - it's a terrible cover. I actually quite like RATM and love Minor Threat, but it's basically just an exact rehashing of the original. Should've stuck with the Minors... ๐
I feel like the cover matches my riding. I'm not hardcore, just a rendition of it.
DH lite, only 1 calorie.
Hah.
Well, if you were going for a Minor Threat cover you could at least have gone for 'No Reason' by And None Of Them Knew They Were Robots. Also pretty much note-for-note, but it's still awesome.
So I was all like, Oh, Minor Threat, I like this guy.....then, I was all like, oh, its a cover by Rage Against the Machine, and then I was all like....hmmmm, I don't think I can get along with this....

Anyway, video looks good. Lets have a little Fugazi to redress the balance.
Excellent choice. Repeater is a quite brilliant record.
