What's different about these to normal cables?

IIRC xtr are stainless and teflon coated, you get a few fancy cable ends, that's it, outer is the same.

Had XTRs for a while - last ages, don't stretch, resist muck better, gears change smoother. A must IMO.

NOt for me thanks had GORE one but gone over to the cheap ones now just change then every couple of month still cheaper than the GORE/XTR ones

If its 3 peice cables, XTR are nice, but a cheapo full length outer with a cable oiler or 2 stays nicer longer.

if its cable kits we are talking the sp41 cable is greased along its length and stays crisp loads longer than cheaper stuff (thats XTR stuff) the end caps have brass ends and little seals.

lovely cables compared to other more expensive ones ive used and fitted
