I'd like to take off the indicator windows on my XT Shifters to move, as you will no doubt be aware a gaping wound is left exposed. Would anyone on this fine Friday evening happen to know where I could purchase blank covers to help seal this void?

Thank you...

If it's the later style, the covers are actually included under the windows....

they are normally on the back of the indicators. When you take them off look on the bar side of them. it will be the little disc thing you use.

Black gaffer tape here too, windows interfered with the brake positioning too much so off they went.

if it's 09 there'll be a plastic disc on the back of the windowed thingy you unscrew. pop it out put it on then screw it up. easy peasy.
