So putting my new build together last night and putting the single rear xt shifter on that I'd bought from crc I took the horrid indicator window off as per an old YouTube vid. But there's no clever replacement cap inside the 10sp shifter as there had been on the vid.

Pedlad, have a double check, there may well be one there that is well hidden....
Edit, they used to be hidden in the body of the shifter, but I have just checked a new one in a box and it looks like the new dyna sys ones have a separate cover in the box.
Any bike shop should be able to order them from Madison or order them from Petra Cycles
It came free with mine, purchased a few months ago.
Free in the retail pack, but OEM, well...I got caught out as well. Petra Cycles is your answer. Be aware it's called : "SLM780 right hand base cap and bolt unit RH." to save a few frustrating hours searching the site.
