Any reasons why not?
I'm 99.9% certain my massively worn chain (hitting the wrong side of chain checker!) means the Xtr cassette is ruined. Decided on XT chain as hollow pins are stupid when combined with mud. I know can't put any power through the drive chain. I assume it's just a knackered cassette as well?
I feel really stupid that I've had a chain measure all the time and not used it. Idiot.

Chain will be fine. Cassette's dead. Put the old chain back on or junk the lot.

Old chain back on -2 links.
Will worn chainstay be any problem (not sure how worn that is)?
