Does it actually matter? I've had that happen in the past and it worked fine for the life of the cassette

Yes, I wouldn't normally mind but the chain skips, plus its actualy 2 teeth.

If it's brand new, then take it back to your retailer.

CRC.... I'll phone them tomorrow. I personally think they should give me one for free tbh, after my card got owned.

Ah, proper broken!

You can get individual sprockets for road cassettes to allow you to build custom ratios. Have a look at Parker international.

No luck, seems like a new cassette. Thanks. 👿 £50 down the drain. Guess I can keep it for spares.

+1 for sending it back. i assume you have receipt? then back it goes. no reason that you should not get it sorted under warranty.

Found the online receipt, its from the 29th December, is this too old? or is it a warranty issue?

warranty claim unless it was caused by an event or other part (jam or something).

XT cassettes dissolve if you get jam on them? Peanut butter sandwiches from now on when fettling...

If only I hadn't flogged your old SLX cassette! How did you manage that then?
