Any body running a 2 ring set up with 50/51 chainline with the XT 10 speed double specific front mech.
The reason for asking is that the double specific mech states a chainline of 48.8.

It points towards having to use the triple mech which has the 50mm chainline and limiting it to 2 rings.

But have read that the triple mech will not shift as crisply across two rings ?

Help please ๐Ÿ˜•

If you are worried about the 1.2mm I am sure you get spacers around that to shift the BB over (if using a HTII external type).

chainline of the XT double is 48.8:

or do you mean you are using a set of 3 ring cranks?

in which case you can use the 1.8 and 0.7mm spacers to reduce the chainline.

I'm about to use this chainset This which has a 51mm chainline
I would like to use the XT double specific front mech (chainline 48.8) with it

No idea with that set up.

If you are running 22/36 rings though the SLX double from the 22/36 set up would be ideal and has a 50mm chainline IIRC.
