Ok so in the bargain for market and these seem to be looking good.

Anybody get the Vengence HLR or HLR DLA - they seem to come in at 2.2-2.5kg which is in the right area for the fork. Ticks the boxes and gets some good reviews, Just after a real world confirm on them.

Other than that has anybody got the current Durloux? hard to find exact info from the Oz importer about the steerer sizes. Need 1 1/8th.

Cheers

Mike,
Returning a favour ! Don't have any experience of them, but seem to have plenty of choice

the phrase 'spoiled for choice' spring to mind ?! Send them an e-mail, clarify which model suits and then ask importer to get one ? All I can suggest really

ive demo'd a vengeance hlr - lowered to 160. I've heard very bad things about the dla though. The hlr is truly an amazing fork almost on pair with the 55 rc3 I've just not supple or plush. It's quite tall though & sits quite high in its travel.

I'm no so eloquent but ita just a really good forks, miles better than my fox 36s.

Benji (ext STW bike tester and now freelance) likes the new ones a lot. I'm looking at the slant for the front of my rocket. Shame the step is 160/140 rather than the 150 sweet spot for the rocket, but the a-t-c doesn't seem that much different to the Rev that's in there at the moment.

I have the 2011 xfusion vengeance hlr on my heckler. Works lovely. Super plush and stiff. Slackens it nicely too as its like a 170 a2c.

I've been looking into the X-Fusion Vengeance HLR as a replacement for my Totem. Here's what people say:

Very nice suspension action, controlled rather than plush.

Compression dials make an obvious difference

Stiff chassis, in-between Lyrik and Totem for stiffness

Axle to crown height is 10mm taller than other 170mm forks, 565mm
This is fine with me as it matches height of Totem but for someone with a bike designed for 160mm travel forks (usually 545mm) it will slacken head-angle by roughly a degree, fine for some bikes but may void warranty on less tough "all-marketing" bikes.

I've yet to read about any reliability problems with current HLR coil model but the travel adjust DLA has been problematic.
This isn't a surprise as virtually every 6"-7" air fork with travel adjust seems to have had some problems due to complexity (maybe Talas is ok)

Be great if more owners of Vengeance HLRs could post their experiences

Got a pair of Durolux RC2 at the moment.

Great performance and mega cheap, would recommend them.

They can be internally adjusted from 14-16-180mm as well and will just about take a 650b wheel making them pretty versatile.

nice to see them on the heckler, I have a longer shock that fixes the extra slackness so all good.

What steerer did you get?

I've got a set of the Vengeance HLR and they are great. Very stuff and plush, the high and low speed compression is really good and the rebound clicks are very pronounced.

All in all a very good set of forks.

Do people have the HLR air or Coil, 2.2kg(air) seems a decent weight for a fork of that size/price - on par with a lyrik....

The Coil at 2.5 would undo the weight saving I already did and I have a set of 55's that are a touch heavier...
