My new Cross forks snapped on their first race but i am able to get a new pair under warranty ๐Ÿ™‚

Question is, have i lost faith in them? would you trust another pair? have you broke anything and vowed never to use that brand/product ever again or have you just thrown catuion to the wind and carried on regardless?

your thoughts please

Only if there is a history or other users comments detailing a 'pattern' on the internet.

Otherwise- its isolated. Can you ask for the new ones to come from a different batch. Just for peace of mind?

I've stuck with CB pedals despite impaling my calf on an axle when one disintegrated on me once.

That was mor ethrough lack of maintenance on my part than 'brand new just riding along' type stuff. In you case I think I'd try and understand whether it was a genuine manufacturing mistake, a fundamental design issue or a freak accident that caused the failure.

Good point. As long as it isn't Crank Bros ๐Ÿ˜†

In principle I'd think there's no accounting for a duff one or a freak situation, whatever the brand or product, so I wouldn't be put off by one example.
In practice though something like a fork snapping would probably make me a bit wary, especially if it seemed to be not that uncommon.
