Would a rigid fork ...

[Closed] Would a rigid fork on a full susser just be plain stupid?

I've seen all kinds of exotic combinations of kit on here, but never this.

So, is there a context where a "hardnose" would make sense?

Good point, so have I.

But if it's crap, how come you didn't notice? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I thought of that just after I sent the post ,I must be one of those people who tolerate discomfort ,eg a cyclist

It's been done, 'worked' because the pivot was so high and in the middle of the frame so the shock got compressed form both ends.

Is that your bike? If not there was somebody on here recently who built one up similarly. He said it was surprisingly rather odd to ride and didn't really work.

I still want one, though mine would have red & cream Judy DHs.

Darn, I thought I'd nailed that elusive first original thread of 2012 ๐Ÿ˜‰

Seems like I'm not the first to coin the name hardnose either. I may need to look beyond bicycle design for ideas to make my fortune.

That's the way Mr Klein originally designed it. The idea behind the bike was to increase rear wheel traction when climbing - not to increase comfort or control downhill or on the flat.
