Just had a very chill ride around the trails at Woburn Sands. These really are a hidden gem. Kudos to the volunteer trail builders.

Good innit? Very underrated but suspect they wouldn't hold up well to much higher rider volumes, especially in the Winter, so ssssshhh.

I've been riding round there for years and years all winter, way before there was a proper trail. The trails are pretty good due to the Sandy content. Basically there will always be good dry bits. Only one part of the hill gets wet in the winter, so you can skip that and crack on round the rest of the place. In fact this year Ive ridden it 5 weeks in a row and not needed to clean the bike.

Glad it’s not just me that likes it. Lots of other stuff there as well

Used to be up there often. Great fun on a 29er SS, really tight and twisty in places, flowy in others. Worth chipping a day/year's membershp in if you can to support it all.

I did the 6 months membership with gift aid, as I plan to ride it again.
Will be back with my lad sometime soon.

Yeah let's keep it quiet eh!

It’s awesome. I’m lucky enough to live nearby so have annual passes for me and my daughter. Looking forward to taking my new Ragley there next week on my day off work. The volunteers who maintain the trails do amazing work to keep people riding. Follow Riders of Woburn on Facebook to keep up with digs, closures etc.
