Just logged on to STW at my Mum's house...
Then went to eBay, without logging into eBay, suddenly to find that it was already recommending me things I'd been looking at last time I was on eBay at work.
Confused.
How does that work?
How does eBay know who I am, when I'm at a completely different ip address, before I've even let eBay know who I am? Freak-o-rama... 😯
Basically it cant and hasn't.
Are you logged into google or any other sites with a linked e-mail?
Have you looked at things on eBay there before not logged in?
It tracks the ip so if you have at any point before on that pc it will remember.

er... yeah.. I probably have.
But my mum is an eBay addict too - so surely it would 'remember' the last things she'd looked at, no? (At least that was what I was expecting).
Unless she's also got a penchant for Endura Humvee cycling tops, which I doubt.

Then again, it could be something to do with Google Chrome shipping my info about?
