Hi Ive recently replaced my chain and cassette on my anthem. The chain is a wipperman connex 10sg an a 10speed slx cassette when i apply pressure to the pedals the chain skips when i looked the chain seems to sit on the lockring Ive noticed that the links on the chain are quite square where as the old knackerd Shimano one is more like a hour glass any one else had problems Like this? Does the chain normally sit on the edge of the lock ring? Ive only got the one bike to look at. ... To be fair Ive not tried the old chain on to see how it sits but it wont sit right anyhow as its stretched Any one any suggestions to try before i fork out for a new chain? Ive checked the new chain. With a chain checker an its fine. ..... Help please!!!! Oh forgot to mention it only skips on the 11t cog the lock ring is for 11t cog. Cycles thru the gears fine. an Ive checked the stops thank you
I had this on a 10 speed shimano chain and xt cassette....are you using the wippermann connex chain reusable link? If so this is your problem...you have put the two reusable links on the wrong way...whichever way It's on now, swap them around and connect them up...I did this and it stopped skipping! mine skipped just on the 11t cog too
