[Closed] Winstanleys - any good/bad reviews

Perfect for me on multiple instances including warranty stuff, sizing stuff, purchases etc... No issues at all here.

Mrs Gti knows the owner from when she used to sell them prams and she has the highest regard for him (and his son?) as business people, unlike some of the shysters she used to sell to.

It's a few years since I last bought from them, but they were good,never had any problems.

Used them a few times, not super fast but well within what I'd think of as reasonable.

I've had a few orders from them (MTB and BMX) and they're fine. The problem with negative reviews on t'internet is they're usually a knee-jerk thing written by people with an axe to grind. It may have been the case that they were a rude, entitled arsehole expecting the moon on a stick and the people at Winstanleys (I'm sure that should have an apostrophe...) just got fed up of dealing with them.

Never had any problems with them

Purchased a bike online, and dealt with their (well, them and then Formula brakes...) warranty dept after a seal went pop on a lever after about 5 months riding. Great shop, easy to deal with, spoke to them on the phone and online, prompt delivery and sorted out my warranty issue. Would buy from them again!

I've bought components in the last year and never had an issue.

We have bought 2 brand new e-bikes off them over the last 2 weeks, great deal and fantastic service 10 out of 10 from me 🙂

Going back a few years but I've have good experience with them

got some hope tech kit last year, as with most online shops they had to order them in, but the website showed it was a special order item and they sent emails to confirm timings and on dispatch

I rang the first time I used them last year to make sure that 'in stock' meant, you know in stock. Helpful staff confirmed they had the hub I wanted and it arrived next day. All good.

Used them a fair few times, another no problems here.

More good experiences here, although, my last order a few years back was annoying. I'd ordered some BMX parts which were listed as in stock, turned out this meant with distro not with them so delivery turn around ended up being longer than should have which was annoying as I only ordered with them as it was in stock

Used loads. Always good service and excellent pricing.

Bought a few things from Winstanley's and wouldn't think twice about using them again. Never really tested them as far as customer serves go as every order has been uneventfully normal.

Ordered a fe wbits from them recently and couldn't fault them.

One of my mates took them some beers at Christmas for helping him out 🙂

Had a couple of bikes from them no issues whatsoever. Don't tend to use them for other stuff though, don't know why.

I bought a bargain Giant 29er full suss off them a few years ago. No complaints. I'd use them again

Used them twice when buying bikes, no issues / great discounts.

Just bought some goggles from them and they were delivered quickly. Also emailed about availability of out of stock items and got an honest response on lead times (some stuff in stock at the distributor and 10 day lead time), other stuff they were less sure as they had stock in fairly regularly but were less sure about what would be in the drop.

I bought two rims from them a few years ago. They only had one in stock (the website had said two) so just sent me the one. The rims were out of stock everywhere else so one rim was no use to me as I was trying to build a matching pair of wheels. I gave them a call and they just said reject the delivery and they would refund the money. Which I did and they promptly refunded. A shame they just sent one rim without asking in the first place, but I was happy with how they sorted it out.

I have used them to nice or twice since with no problems.

No problems brought numerous items.

Bought quite a bit from them over the past 3-4 years. All good, including excellent processing of a warranty on a fork.

Ordered a few things from them including a pair of Fox forks, always had good service.
