Now that was one of the best loops of the Hope Valley I have done in ages - set off from home at 4pm on the trusty singlespeed Kona, Headed up and over Bradwell Moor, then turned right across towards Mam Tor and past Rowter Farm, (gave way to 6 Landrovers on some organised 'safari@) then hit the road west to the far end of Rushup Edge (dumb decision caused by fading memory of how eroded that bridleway has become) and slogged up the rubble to Lord's Seat, round the back of Mam Tor to Hollins Cross, down the bridleway into Castleton, out the back of Castleton to Pindale, round the back of Lafarge, up Batham Gate and back home.

The views were spectacular and best of all most of the ramblers had already left the hills, only saw about a dozen people in 2 hours.

No beards or sandals were used during this ride.

If you fancy a spin round the hills when you are up here drop me a pm. Always up for a ride, although we are off to the Olympics in July, otherwise mostly here.

Think my first post was something of an endorphine high moment of euphoria! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Nice one. I was stuck at work all day, otherwise I would have definitely been out that way from home. Hope is 12 miles from home on the mtb, a good distance for a cafe then return home ๐Ÿ˜€
