My commuter currently has a very worn 11-32 cassette, if I replace it with a road cassette (say 11-25) will the long cage LX mech still work okay?

Shuold be OK but I'm not guaranteeing it!

yeah, it'll work fine. Shorten the chain a bit though

Thanks. The chain and chainrings are all being replaced anyway, everythings a bit shagged after 2500 miles.

yes, but it'll flap around nicely. Shorten the chain loads 🙂
