My Singular Swift has mounts for a proper rear mudguard and I originally set it up with an SKS Bluemels 65mm rear guard. Unfortunately this slopped about a fair bit and even with narrow 45mm tyres regularly buzzed off the edges.
I've currently got a standard mountain bike seatpost mounted guard (which I can fit to the seat tube just below the collar to keep crud off the post) but I was wondering whether anyone had found a decent, stiff rear 'proper' mudguard that would accommodate 2" tyres?
It wouldn't need to be full length (I think that full length on a 29er might add to the lack of rigidity) but 3/4 length might be handy.
Any recommendations?
Mudhugger.
Or Decathlon did a version of it for about £8.
I asked the other day, Flinger guards were recommended.
Thanks, but I can't find any wider than 50mm.

I don't know if stainless steel would make them stiffer than the Bluemels (a great deal of the lack of rigidity seems to come from the stays). The manufacturers website states that the 60mm ones will cope with 2.35" tyres, although I think that this might be a tad optimistic (hopefully they'd cope with 2" though).
-- Edit --
Looking at the specs. diagrams it doesn't appear that Long & Short have any relevance to the length of the rear mudguard 🙁
My mudhugger works with my b+ tyres - seem to vaguely recall that it's the 29er model.
I fitted the 29er version to my b+ bike. It seems massive and overhangs a lot. I catch my leg on it every time I mount (ooh er). Will I get used to it and should I have gone for the 650b one?
mudhuggers standard 29 version on my ECR
I don't need to use the braze-ons for a fixed mudguard, so a Mudhugger (or something similar) is certainly an option. My rear brake hose and mech. cables run down the seatstays (with associated guides); would these call any issues fitting a 'hugger?
I was wondering whether aluminium guards might be a bit stiffer. SKS' Bluemels 75 Us (plastic and aluminium) also look interesting, but at 800g a pair seem a tad heavy.
