I am hoping to source one of these highly sort after bikes. The sizing chart says at 5 ft 6 and a half I am either at the upper end of a small or the lower end of a medium. But the geometry tables show an ETT of over 600mm for a medium ! That's as big as most manufacturers Large ! Surely a small is better. Any experience of sizing ?

Small, every day

I am 5ft10 and found the medium with the stock stem, ever so slightly too long. I'd put a 10-20mm shorter stem on if it was mine.

The small will be superb for you.

Long top tube short stem is the design.

I am 172cm and happy on a medium with 70mm stem.

IMO it's not clear cut for you, try and get a demo. I am in Surrey if you want a sit on.

Was sort of thinking that too. Even the small has a longer Ett than my medium 29er ht and that's a long bike for me !

You need a proper demo and I don't mean around the car park, on proper trails. This bike comes alive on the downs. I switched the stock bars for 740 (should have gone wider) and have the saddle back on the rails. I do seem to like a long fit for my height though.

Sitting in a shop it's never going to feel right.
