I have just returned from my second ride on the new Whyte Sussex, whilst cleaning I noticed this gap on the headset...there is a noticeable uneven gap between the forks and headset.

I have undone the stem bolts etc to loosen the forks, but it makes no difference....any ideas?

If it's new take it back to the shop
It looks like a wonkily fitted headset or the fork steerers bent..

personally;

1) Don't ride it again

2) take it back to the shop.

Either there's a bit of headset missing or the steerer's bent relative to the crown.
