have the one driver for a wifi card which works? Is it version one cilla version 2 or could it be version 3? How the frigging hell should I know? And more to the point why should I have to? Isn't important to Belkin since they haven't put anything on their website about versions. Lucky for me it's the wife's laptop. I have that speccy geeky little world buggering time wasting pillock Bill Gates! Who invented something which keeps people employed just to fix poor work from some other people who shouldn't be. Aaaagggghh, I HAVE A MAC BECAUSE OF THIS TOSS NOT BECAUSE THEY LOOK NICE!!!!!

And relax.....

Correction there are 8 versions of the same driver Eight! That's more than 7 useless driver for one that works?
They haven't issued 8 driver for the OS X platform so it can't be that fundamental.
No wonder It people are pale, they never get to go out!

Only use this one or the Classifieds, which is where this will end up shortly. The bike is, after all, what I was planning on riding rather than mending some septic software engineers' lack of aptitude!
Ho Hum just think lovely maccy thought.

yeah! and why does my Fiesta mk 5 need a different oil filter to a mk 4?

That's 7 useless filters for one that works!

I should be inside, playing with my computers, avoiding a suntan but instead I'm here mending some septic automotive engineers' lack of aptitude!

I'm a Mac user and enjoy not having all these hassles, but it's a bit unfair to expect MS to have the answer for every variation on the hardware out here.

A bit like herding cats, while Apple just has us sheep to worry about.

Apple design the hardware, software as a complete package.

Windows is just the software, so it's never compatible with the hardware it's in.

The computer manufacturers are at fault, and should give people the option to choose which software they want.

I'd choose one (software) which isn't crap, non-tested, and can't keep up with updates of the hardware it's meant to be used for.

Or, I'll just stick to my Apple(s) as they just work

It IS all Bill Gate's fault - it's his software product and it's based on using other peoples hardware. If MS made bikes it would have SRAM shifters combined with shimano mechs, Hope triggers with Avid pistons and Tektro pads. Heck stick on some Mary bars and a wicker basket. All these companies would then be expected (market forces) to make their products work on the MS bike. Apple smart arses clearly designed out these problems from day 1.

what I meant was that, the PC manufacturers are at fault for not offering us a choice. There are some very nice laptops out there, and I would buy one, but not with Micro$oft on it.
With some manufacturers, uninstalling it, voids the warranty.

Can anyone remember the thing when Bill Gates said, if his product was like a car, they would roll out a new one every 6 months, then some CEO replied with a huge list of problems with the window product

I still don't see how it's Microsoft's fault that Belkin have released hardware without a compatible driver.

Leaving aside the remote possibility that user error or incompetence are a factor.
