Having experienced a similar situation a few months back, a couple of good things I found

1 - Buy some new tat/ bling for your bike

2 - Go back to basics. I went back and rode trails I hadn't ridden since I first started out as I didn't consider them challenging anymore but there was a lot of joy to ride somewhere that you didn't have to think about and I discovered some new trails in the area.

make the effort even if you don't want to - you'll probably enjoy it. Just wish I could escape the office

I'm right here too feeling the same. I've ordered a new chain and I'm going to do some work on my rear mech and hopefully that will inspire me....

Another tip. Watch some biking dvds. Roam & Seasons always get me up for riding.

Yeah like Bob said or even just run your normal loop but backwards..

Shiny stuff does help, but Pook I struggle getting excited about a new chain, thats just one of them bstad things that usually requires another £30+ you didnt want to spend!!

fix all those niggling issues on your bike.

this week i have

serviced (tftuned) my forks

removed, cleaned and re greased my headset and most the bolt on my bike.

bought a torque wrench and torqued all bolts correctly.

replaced the grease in my pedals

removed, greased and refitted my rear swing arm

removed, cleaned, wiped with ear bud my brakes to remove the alps dirt and brake dust

fitted my tubeless rear wheel

removed, fitted new bearings to and greased my rear pro 2 hub

generally just done some maintenance can't wait till the weekend to get on my fixed/upgraded forks and see if my tinkering has fixed things..

reminds me i need to remove and grease my seat clap SQUEAK SQUEAKKK!
