I don't get it... a single chain-guide 130 quid? Maybe I don't see the big science or the phenomenal craft behind these...

Small volume manufacture and they are possibly working on the basis that the level of demand currently being seen is a fashion thing and they need to make the costs of design/tooling quickly before the bubble bursts and demand returns to low level volumes for DH riders only.

Low sales volume?

N-gear jump stop works well on a hardtail with a bashring and is v cheap!

E-13 guides use lots of expensive machined parts are fully built and packaged in the USA. Dunno about other ones. MRP seem over priced to me though.

And presumably they intend to continue milking this fad until these silly 1x10 9/36 drivetrains come into popularity and go again.

I paid £25 for my e13 xcx.

I paid not a lot less than that for a superstar one that didn't last one ride.
