I had some Sunline ones, they were fine for a year then the manufacturer recalled them, so I sent them back.

Yep - cheap Guizzo flat carbons which were lighter than EC90s

What could possibly go wrong?

Easton DH's for me, bit heavier and wider than standard plus warranted for DH so fine for my mincing.

Only by accident - paid for EA70s and received EC70s. Which was nice ๐Ÿ™‚

How well they're made is much more important than what they are made from. Only bars i've snapped were cheapo halfords aluminium ones.

i dont, yet.
but i will say, im a big heavy guy, and ive used alu bars for years 10+ in some cases, and never had a pair snap or bend.
so, if alu and carbon have similar resistance to cyclic stress they should be fine.
anyway, if they werent safe the government would ban 'em, surely?
not a piss take, btw.
