Serious question this. And as a game its as random as a roulette wheel. You could actually apply some logic to a roulette wheel in comparison

So here's what we'll do. To go for the next bike would be obvious as we know already where he's pointing. So heres a suggestion. I'm going to pick a date over the next six months at random. Just like Hora seems to pick his bikes. I'll hand that date to someone independent

The aim is then for us all to hazard a guess as to what bike Hora is going to own on that random date. Which part of the full-suss/steel/hardtail/carbon/singlespeed/6 inch/singlespeed/Santa Cruz/Turner/On-one/1x10/fully rigid cycle he'll be at. It could quite literally be anything!!!! Anything at all. Like I said: there is absolutely no logic!!!

Only one entry per forum member. Closing date will tomorrow at this time. We'll revive the thread on the random date to see who's won.

As I'm picking the random date, I'll abstain

Off you go folks.........

I personally think it's best we don't draw attention to Hora's issues.

How specific do we need to be?

I reckon a Lapierre, no an Intense, no no no a Nicolai. Or maybe a nevermind.
Seriously, he'll not like the Intense 5.5 especially if he buys a medium.

What's the prize?

He thinks the Turner's head angle is too steep, so he'll hate the Intense. However, this alone will not stop him buying one. The fact that I've got one will though. It'd be endorsing my choice of bike and is therefore out of the question

Woppit - easier to ask what he's NOT had before. Again: just because he's already owned one, two even, this will not stop him buying one anyway

Like I said: there is no logic at work here

I think the prize should be the chance to slap monkey boy accross thee face with a wet fish, and confiscate whatever bike he's riding on the random date. 😀

Whatever he gets, it needs to be able to run on Maccy D's. 😀

I'll say - Nukeproof Mega

I think he may get a 29er so he's got a whole new range of forks to make warranty claims on.

So a Scott 29er.

steel4real off this very forum said to me on Saturday, "Hora didn't recognise me and I bought a bike off him", to which I suppressed a laugh and calmly said he sells bikes every 9 months, so you're not the first.

I'll go for a 'Giant Glory' purchased on January 29th, 2012 at 12 noon.

Nedraper and ourkidsam are pretty much spot on. I'd have a stumpy evo frame tomorrow but **** all chance of finding a frame used.

On Rivi today I actually thought the Turner makes a lot of sense. A couple more tweaks and its spot on.

Binners - get a 2ndhand c456. That's my next purchase as a 'light bike' 🙂

Done the Blur4x now. Same as the Cham before it. I'm not niche, only boutique or mildly-quirky so no 29'er or Alfine.

If I could afford:

It's going to be an.......wait for it.........ORANGE 5 !

He witnessed how it could easily out climb the Turner piloted by a man barely recovered from reconstructive ankle surgery. No fandangle angle adjusting headets, no need for forks of FR/DH proportions, just simple point and go sweetness !

In fact so tempted will he be by the fact that he knows I'll be selling 'my' frame over the next 6 months the irony of buying back the very same frame he sold me a couple of years ago will pale compared to the joy of being reunited with the most popular of trail munching machhines. So happy in fact I plan to make him pay more than I did. He was already inspecting it for dents on the recent Peaks Pootle !!

Of course this puts me at an unfair advantage in the sweepstake as the date will be the day I put the add in the classifieds and the bike is already determined.

Actually - he'll probably get a Cannondale Prophet. Don't know when.

thats why me and owen refer to having a crash that proper rattles you as 'doing a harry'!

It was indeed a real crash, however, I (the only lady in the 35 strong group), was a witness and I don't think Harry wanted to wail like a 6month baby, to appear manly 🙂

It isn't bullying. Hora craves attention like a Big Brother contestant. The Oscar Wilde quote

"The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about"

was written specifically with Hora in mind. We are merely stroking his ego. Other parts of him get stroked by strange men he meets in the bushes at night.

Anyway... if you think this is bullying, you should hear the grief he gets when he walk into the pub

I didn't think that, I thought they probably 'know' each other, but not necessarily in the biblical sense, not like civil partners or anything, just joshing with each other, and or suckering us into a fixed sweepstake with the intention of financing Horas Transition Covert.. 🙂

But that was by default as a warranty replacement, so does that count? He's now got the bike he thought he was buying in the first place though, so maybe this one's a 'keeper'.

Ha!

Reckon it doesn't count. If someone had guessed "warranty replacement for one he's broken" it would have been deemed inadmissable.

I reckon.

I don't get it anyway - if people tackle steep slopes on an mtb for an adrenaline rush then by having a steeper head angle the rider would get that adrenaline rush a lot more easily or for a larger portion of the ride.
