Sunburn here too (Ayrshire). Run half marathon distance for the first time, I'm a wee bit pink now, and knackered, in a good way.

Me. Did a nice big loop round Ladybower.

I did that yesterday, only met a few walkers and bikers - fantastic ride.

Hello to the chap on the Lapierre HT if you come on here.

I had a fantastic 20 mile ride across the south downs today. Zigged and zagged until I could travel no more. Encountered one or two walkers and a horse rider who was the epitome of a horse rider, attractive, well mannered & a beautifully soft voice. Well, until her dog started misbehaving and the she-demon was released. Nearly gave myself whip lash spinning round to see what was happening.

Oh and sunburnt like hell! Damn my African Sunrise coloured hair (and now skin)

A customer agreed to meet me in Peebles next week for a meeting, it was either there or Dumfries....what a coincidence I've just put the bike rack on my new car.

Gypsy Glen descent? Did you not climb up there like? Helicopter? Uplift via 4x4?

Me, I've been off but spent most of today lying on a hard floor as my back is ****ed! Brilliant!

Dartmoor Sunday, Dartmoor again on foot on Monday, 3 laps of Verderers at FOD today, mostly under tree cover but still proper hot and great to be out.

Back to work for the next 2 days but I'm hoping the weather holds out for another ride on Dartmoor on Friday, then whatever the weekend brings.

What an amazing week

Kinda. I was off today, but had chores to do then looking after 4 kids. Slightly jealous of your epic adventures but got some manual and nose wheelie practise in the street, so not all was lost. Inners this weekend should make up for it.

Most excellent photos chaps, most excellent.

I'm "off" for a while and am fitting in rides within some unavoidable constraints, so tomorrow it'll be S'th Downs from Arundel to Lewes (incl some of the SDW) on my 29erSS, yesterday was rattling around "That London" on my foldie, today it's been my more normal S'th Downs roadie stuff then I'll do some cheeky trails in the northern part of the New Forest later in the week.

It is/has/should be one of the best weeks to just get out there.

Most excellent.

Rode all seven munros on the Ben Lawers massif on Sunday. Yesterday was an old skool return to Glen Ample on the 29er with my mate Pete and today was a cracking back road circuit to Kippen and back with my good lady and little un. Pub lunch in the beer garden, trip to the swing park, gentle spin home and dinner army folks al fresco. Winner!

I did yesterday, excellent ride up in the lakes following a route from an issue of Singletrack from a month or two back! Out around the back of Skidaw 53km and I think we saw about 4 people all day. Dry dusty trails all the way. Might have to get the bike out and call it work tomorrow.

Still a bit of bog around!

Watching your front wheel disappear into a metre of bog causes very sudden OTB moments!

Oh and the goat was from Cheddar Gorge on Sunday. I get around. ๐Ÿ˜€

A cheeky skive yesterday afternoon, for a dozen miles or so in Wyre and met a "colleague" for a quick ride round some new bits ( to us) off piste at Cannock Chase earlier today. Lovely sunshine and tan line requiring long sleeves for when I'm back at the office on friday.
Looks like many of you have had some really nice rides in the sun this week. Good on yer !

Rode Castleton and Ladybower on Friday also, Blue BFe with stupid bars. Got to the top of Mam Tor for about 11, couldn't see a thing! Fog and children everywhere, very strange.

Did the same loop again today, clear from Mam Tor! Got a bit wild on the way down though, nearly nailed myself on a sandy corner into a rock garden. Pretty sure I got mild heat stroke as I felt dead funny on the train home. Managed to bag a couple of KOMs on Strava too, still a second or 2 off the shorter Beast segment mind. Loads of walkers and a few bikes out.

Took the arvo off and had a play in the Black Mountains in Wales.
Unfortunately I'm starting to struggle with recovery and sore legs after riding for 6 days straight now..
This fine weather better ease up for a day or 2!

Hello, well I kicked it today, I did the SDW from Arundel to The Millburrys (near Winchester. Now I know the convention is to do it the other way but hey, oh and one more thing.. I did it on my winter hack Roadie... I know..! I didn't change a thing, slicks (well GP4's) and the same gearing. It was a little hard at times with the gravel and scree but all in all it was just hard pack chalk and singletrack.. The sun shone all day, I'm sunburnt and in need of a pint.Photo of "daisy" later when I've sorted the upload to Picassa out..

I've been lucky enough to have the week off. The other halfs birthday so couldn't spend the whole week biking.

However, done the longmynd loop, new hopton woods route and the downhill tracks, the beast of Brenin which I haven't done for over a year which was spectacular yesterday in the sun and a visit to cannock chase which due to the weather was actually quite fun.

Bike performed a treat, not sure there is a better way to spend my time ๐Ÿ™‚

went to penmachno for the first time and did both loops. i was a bit out of my depth to be honest, it was a bit hair raising. managed two minor offs and a couple of near misses. weather was excellent and the trail was more or less bone dry apart from on the lee side of the hill which was waterlogged. brilliant views wish i had taken a camera with me.
met a couple of other riders which is a rarity at penmachno i believe, hello to the bloke on the white pivot who passed me up the fireroad just over halfway round, next time i'll catch ya.
