Almost perfect conditions on the day, not too hot or sunny, and bone dry [s]roads[/s] tracks. 🙂
The northerly wind definitely helped on most of the climbs and the 'new' finish down into Eastbourne was a blast.
Folk seemed generally in good spirits on the route, including the ramblerists, most of whom actually responded when greeted.
This was my 7th trip and my fastest ever, which was a bonus. Yes it's not even remotely technical but it's still 9 - 14 hours of riding and thus quite a challenge.
