Hi all
Going to Afan in a couple of weeks - been once before and it was ace!
Did whites level but not the black. What’s the black like in terms of needing to get air? I am ok at technical stuff and can do drop offs and small jumps but realistically roll over what the rad jump. Are there any ‘jumping obligatory’ sections or can I do all of it wheels on the ground?
Only a 50 metre bit that has you thinking the first time you ride it to join the fire track at the the end, after that you question what the fuss is.
Enjoy it as its a crap boring fire road climb back up to windy point.
I’m not sure it would be graded black if it was built today.
I don’t jump or do big drops and still ride it fine.
I dread the climb after as it turns into a lung biting race normally
So nothing I need to be too afraid of then? No gap jumps?
No gap jumps.
Couple of small (large kerb sized) board walk drops and some rocky steps.
You need to pay attention, but it's "trail riding" stuff, not bike park stuff.
No fuss at all, there are harder reds. It's good though, well worth the diversion.
(oh, there was a sort of skinny rock feature I didn't ride on account of there was a tree growing through it)

Sounds great then! Thanks
