I am staying local to Ashbourne next weekend and am trying to get a ride in on Saturday. I know there are trails at Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock. But I am trying to get a 3hour ride in with minimal time in the car, any suggestions welcome, cheers.

nearest to Ashbourne thats any good your probably looking at around Ambergate / Black Rocks / Crich / The Chevin area or play around Dimmingsdale at Alton both are a bit cheeky in places
Not a great deal much closer than Bakewell etc, unless you take the Tissington Trail out and link up the few bridleways on the way back
