Going up to North Yorks in a few weeks, staying near Pickering. Thinking of doing Dalby Forest Red route but joining at nearest point. Which way round (clockwise/anti) so I don't have a collision?

Any other suggestions while I'm there? Cleveland Way loop from Hambleton looks good.

There are no entry signs so you can't go the wrong way round.

A no entry sign at every road/bridleway/track? Wow, that's impressive!

But go on, spoil me, in case someone steals some of them (do I vaguely remember a news item about that?), is it clockwise or anticlockwise?

although bizarrely some of the red is actually much better when ridden anticlockwise. I'm thinking specifically from Dixon's Hollow to the main car park - I'd only recommend it during winter night rides with lights though...
