I need to order some new wheels and I'm looking at getting some Mavic EX721 rims on one of the above hubs, I just wanted to get peoples opinions/views on if it's worth paying the extra for the Pro 3 hubs?
Is it true they have better bearings and straight pull hubs are the way forward?
I need to buy rotors anyway so that would be a fair chunk theoretically off the price of the AM4 Pro 3 wheels that come with them.

Yeah I spotted that a few weeks ago, was going to buy from there untill I spotted these prices searching for info on the AM4s.
Edit: On the Flows, EX721s etc it works out about £22 cheaper as delivery is free.
Don't tell my mate that, I just got him to order from bikeoutlet! Pro2/Stans Flow btw.
Ah I need to order today I think I'm going to go with the SPAM4s, but now I can't decide between EX721s and Flows, would the Flows stand up to my 15st heft doing 3-4ft drops to flat?

straight pull - no benefits IMO. Tough to get spares, trickier to repair and normal spokes work fine.
bearings - bearings are bearings...unless they are bigger or better sealed I can't see how there'd be any significant difference.
Agree with cyni-al. Save your money and get the Pro II option. Spend the money you've saved on some new rubber.
Hmmm food for thought, although I do need rotors so in reality it would only cost me £25 more for the Pro 3, still not worth it?
Schrick what rotors are you looking to get? Hope floaters or something like the Superstars as there's a big difference in price.
At least if you go for the pro3 wheels you get the rotors which I assume are just as good as the floaters.
Good find on the price by the way I'm ordering some hope hoops hopefully today (still fancy the pro3 xc3 wheels though should go for the pro 2's)
Yeah I'd go for Hope floaters if I went for 6 bolt hubs. I don't mind spending a bit more for a superior product but there seems to be very limited and conflicting info out there on the pro 3s.
