[Closed] Where to service my Avalanche DHS shock in UK?

I bought this shock not long ago, second hand. The hose needs to be reconfigured to fit my frame ( I have all the parts) and probably should have service as well (oil change and nitrogen recharge). Does anyone know who does it in Edinburgh (or Uk)? I've found out that Stendec does them but also read some horrible comments about their service, so would like to stay away from them. HELP!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Only Stendec or send it back to Avalanche in the USA

Forget Stendec

find a local MX/Motorcycle suspension fixerers..

If you can't find anyone in Embra, ask Legend off here, he had his Avy done in the weege..

Supposedly anybody who can service Honda MX shocks can do them, as they're designed to use Honda parts and be of a very similar design.

Local MX shop is much more likely to be fruitful than a Honda dealership...

Stendec replaced an adjuster on my CCDB after it got hit by a rock that was spat off my mates wheel.

was a good price and has been working ever since.

Craig at Avalanche in the states is excellent.i sent mine back to him.

mboy is spot on.

I'd rather not share mate's Email addresses online but if he doesn't see this for himself I'll send him a text..

I have had my Avalanche Woodie serviced by Stendec and works great. No problems at all with them.

Previously i sent a set of MTN-8's back over to Craig at Avy which was expensive due to weight and size but he offered a great service and upgrades. I would recommend both and have used both.

Craig will be more expensive due to shipping and import charges etc and will also take longer but i cant see how anyone can know the Avy products better than him. I discussed the set up with him and he adjusted the shim stacks for the type of riding i wanted. With rear shocks you can change things like the floating piston depth to make it more progressive or linear plus more. If you take it to an MX shop its worth asking if they can do things like that or if its just a standard service?

Thanks guys for helping me. GW, I've found legend's e-mail and he mentioned someone he knows that might do the service. I'll contact him and see what he can do. The thing is, I have no idea how the shock is tuned, so apart from a standard service it will probably have to be tuned to my bike. Unfortunately, money's the issue, that's why I'm looking for other, cheaper options.
